ANSWER

The Dubroom is an independant visitor-supported, well visited website promoting (DUB) Reggae and Consciousness as more or less defined throughout the entire Dubroom Network of website, blogs, forums and social media. When you're therefore interested in either one or both, you will find something you like on the Dubroom. The Dubroom is also a studio and a Net Label.

ANSWER

The Dubroom is online since june 10, 1997. Archive.org's oldest site capture was in February 1999. Here's a usenet posting by a then much younger and more ignorant Dubroom Webmaster from 1997, though, having the first URL of the Dubroom in the signature.

ANSWER

ANSWER

No. We're not a commercial enterprise even though we do promote commercial products in our reviews and resources. The central point for the Dubroom is to promote, not to make money. We do things because we think they promote (DUB) Reggae and Consciousness.

Do you make money?

ANSWER

Yes and No. We make money for the artists and companies whose productions we promote and link to for our visitors to purchase. But we don't see that money ourselves and we don't want to, either. So the Dubroom does not make any money for itself, in fact it cost a lot of money to keep every online and growing. Think about hosting, software, hardware, investments, expenses, maintenance, not to mention the energy costs.
